Project Script Development Grant
The Project Script Development Grant supports Albertan writers, directors and producers by providing
financial assistance towards the creation of quality, marketable and commercial production-ready projects and/or scripts. This grant is available for original projects with a broadcast length of 30 minutes or more.
Applications must involve participation of a writer and producer. The producer must be an Albertan resident.
Applicants may apply for up to $55,000 per project (or a total of $70,000 per parent company with multiple projects) per fiscal year at the following stages of production:
- Pre-development: up to $15,000
- First draft: up to $25,000
- Final draft: up to $15,000

Deadline to apply is March 1. Intake opens 60 days prior to the grant deadline. When deadline falls on a weekend or holiday, the deadline is extended to the end of the next business day.
Returning applicants: Please submit your application online.
New applicants: If you are a first time applicant, you will need to set up an applicant profile before you begin your application. To do this, please
register by emailing the Alberta Media Fund and include your first and last name, your company's name and a preferred email address. You will then be contacted you with your login credentials. You may begin your online application.
